I was happy that there was a quality, inexpensive replacement battery available for my new Olympus FE-5050 digital camera, instead of having to purchase a higher priced one. This product was more than I expected. I bought it as a backup for the Olympus FE-5050 battery that comes standard with my Olympus FE Series camera. I wasn't expecting anything special from a replacement brand, but I was shocked. The Olympus FE-5050 battery was about 1/8 the price of the Olympus brand battery, yet it had the same, if not a longer run time. I fully recommend this product as a supplement to the standard battery for extended trips. In the meantime, The Olympus FE-5050 battery charger is designed to take full advantage of the Olympus LI-42B batteries. I love this charger because it's so easy to use and can be taken anywhere with you. Very light weight, works great and charges battery fairly fast.
